STEPS TO TAKE TO BUILD YOUR OWN POOL
PLOT PLAN - Use your existing mortgage survey to make it easier - show well, septic, underground utilities as applicable.
STAKE OUT YARD - For pool location. Pool elevation should be able to drain away ground water.
BUILDING PERMITS - CHECK WITH YOUR LOCAL BUILDING AUTHORITY TO FIND YOUR REQUIREMENTS - TYPICAL PERMITS COULD BE:
LAND USE PERMIT - From local government (Township, City) if required.
BUILDING PERMIT - With pool drawing plans provided by us.

HEALTH DEPARTMENT WAIVER
GRADING PERMIT
POOL FENCE PERMIT

INSTALLATION
PRE SITE THE JOB
Call Miss Dig 4-5 days before digging to locate underground utilities
Check for access for equipment and pool
Have 3 - 4 helpers available for the day
THE DIG
Schedule hydraulic excavator or backhoe for early morning. If a backhoe is used, you will need a boom truck crane to set the pool.
Have 40 tons of 2ns sand on site for early morning. Make arrangements for dirt from excavation to be left on site or to be hauled away.
Order water truck for late afternoon, 3-5 p.m.
